On April 19, Guangzhou held the "Dialogue between Chinese and Foreign Entrepreneurs", inviting senior executives of overseas companies in China to share their opinions on the theme "New Opportunities for China’s High-level Opening-up" and "A New Future for High-quality Development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA)."
Representatives from government departments, state-owned enterprises and foreign invested companies shared their insight of the development of GBA, and they were fully confident in the future business opportunities in GBA.
Kim Yun Wa (Emma Kim) from Republic of Korea, senior external consultant of SBI (CHINA) CO., Ltd. , said that GBA provides a friendly business environment for foreigners and overseas companies. The new investment platform in GBA offers foreign enterprises cooperation opportunities with China and other countries to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation and enterprise competitiveness in the current context of globalization.
"GBA is the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road, which accounts for a large proportion of China's GDP growth. In addition, GBA is a pilot zone for China's reform and opening-up, attracting Chinese and foreign enterprises. According to Weng, Qianhai has 3,466 local enterprises in science and technology service industry. Among them, enterprises above designated size reached revenue of 5.99 billion RMB from January to October in 2022.
