The combined 11th Western China International Logistics Industry Expo of Shaanxi Provincial Logistics Group and the 5th China (Xi'an) Intelligent Transportation Expo was solemnly opened on April 9 in Xi'an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China.

The opening ceremony of the Expos is held in Xi’an on Friday.

Sponsored by Xi'an Municipal People's Government, named by Shaanxi Provincial Logistics Group, co-sponsored by National Energy Group, and organized by Western International Exhibition (Xi'an) Co., Ltd. with more than 200 exhibitors and more than 30,000 professional visitors, the three-day Expo has organized a number of theme forums, logistics vehicles and equipment, centralized purchasing and negotiation activities, docking talks, visits and other activities.

Nearly 1,000 people, including representatives from 16 sister cities, industry associations and enterprises, attended the event to discuss new ideas and measures for the development of the transportation and logistics industry at the Expo.

The Expo focuses on its vision of Xi’an as a "new hub and big channel for smooth and double circulation", and will hold a number of theme forums around the topics of building a national logistics hub, the achievements of China EU train construction, channel economic development, multimodal transport development, Xi'an urban rail transit and inter-city high-speed rail construction and development, 5g and intelligent transportation, and intelligent logistics technology innovation.

Government leaders of national logistics hub cities, industry enterprise representatives, industry experts and research institute representatives at the meeting exchanged and delivered keynote speeches, providing suggestions on Xi'an’s becoming a national central city, helping its social and economic development, advancing its industry transformation and upgrading, and enhancing its attractiveness and competitiveness.

The Expo set up two exhibition areas for the logistics industry and intelligent transportation, focusing on modern logistics, railway transportation, China Europe train service, sea-land-river port, logistics park, logistics equipment, intelligent logistics, warehousing technology and equipment, forklifts, logistics vehicles, urban transportation construction, intelligent transportation, rail transportation and logistics finance.

The modern logistics industry is an important engine that runs through the primary, secondary and tertiary industries and promotes the "double cycle" of production and consumption. It is of great significance in deepening the adjustment of industrial structure, promoting the coordinated development of regions and cultivating new momentum of economic development.
